When Should You Calibrate Your Pressure Gauges?

When it comes to calibration, every gauge is different – there are no set rules. From an oil pressure gauge to a digital pressure gauge, how often you should calibrate depends on their usage and external conditions.

It is recommended to calibrate most pressure gauges every 12 months

Wear and Tear

Over time, after repeated use, pressure gauges will naturally lose their accuracy and begin to ‘drift’ (known as calibration drift). 

For pressure gauges that are subjected to daily, heavy use, that experience higher vibrations, or are subjected to extreme temperatures, you may wish to calibrate the pressure gauges more frequently (every 3-6 months).
