All you need to do to change it is to touch the black wire to the red wire for 3 seconds before the device will start counting upwards from 0.
To go down simply separate the wires and then retouch them again and it will start counting in the opposite direction to the previous direction. When you are done. Take the black wire off the red wire and wait 3 seconds.
It will save your measurement and you can put the device back in its slot or install it as needed. The hour meter displays the total number of hours and can be reset to zero once the equipment is serviced or maintenance is complete.
